ride routes 6th – 12th june

DCIM100GOPRO
dale negotiating the dirt climb up to colle delle finestre. 10kms paved at over 10% then 8kms dirt at 9%.

so at last last year’s tour of margs, there was a competition through punto tours where you placed your race number into the draw and you could win a trip to italy.  well the guy that won couldn’t go, so a redraw saw me heading to italy for a week of following the giro.  it was my first time riding in europe and it was just wow.  awesome scenery, massive climbs, people everywhere, pro riders, scary descents, it had it all.  if you every get the chance to go over, take it.  it is so not perth.  i will be heading back again as soon as i can.

  1. Pete,
Lucky bugger, After I saw your photo earlier on the blog taken from the TV , I kept an eye out for you ( it sounds a bit sad really).
You are also on a tight right hand bend Col Delle Finestre sitting down taking a photo ? 34.5 ks to go to the finish. It was a great stage.
Its a bit like Wheres Wally. I still have a few more stages to get thru.

    1. i think that is all that i got on tv. i was up on a balcony at the 700m to go mark on the stage into verbainia. the final stage was just too busy to even see anything. we stood by the podium and watched the big screen instead.
