Cycling WA – Timing System Training

In conjunction with the Collie Cycling Club we have been offered the opportunity to attend some training with the Times 7 sports score system. It is the wheel tags and finish line program and equipment to give results to the 100th of a second. This system is available for all clubs to use and adds a very professional experience for all riders- especially our growing B and C grades. The heavy blue mats are gone and set up is much easier.

Currently the club can hire the system for free, with charges for used wheel tag holders and lost wheel tags. However, as we don’t have an operator at present there would be charges for someone to come and do that for us. That’s where you come in!

So, if you can drive an excel spreadsheet then you are perfect for some training in operating the system. With a couple of people from SPR learning the system we would have a great, cost effective resource for our next event. It would also makes Pete’s life A LOT EASIER at the finish line/podium!

The training session is next Saturday March 23rd 9.30am to 12.30pm at Cycling WA, 180 Charles Str, West Perth.

Please RSVP by Monday 18th March to toby.hodgson@cycling.org.au and Cycling WA will be in touch with pre reading for all attendees.

For any questions about this then please do not hesitate to contact Toby Hodgson on 9328 3422

    1. Don’t worry Stu. You wouldn’t have to be. If you weren’t available then the option to pay an operator would still exist. You should do it anyway and then we can evaluate next steps. You could even hire yourself out to OTHER clubs!! ;-))

  1. Not enough takers this time around apparently. Look for another opportunity for this course some time in May. If you’re interested please add a comment so that Toby can get a feel for numbers and target the right people.
