Anyone riding on a CUBE roadie at the moment? Wondering what they are like – I’m in the market to upgrade soon and they have been catching my eye quite a lot recently online…..any opinions? |

Hi Mattie, I used to have a Cube Agree GTC Race (2010). what models are you looking at? They are a good bargain in Europe, but not really sure how expensive they are in Australia. They are crazy popular in Germany, and becoming more and more common in the UK too. they normally sell out fairly quickly, so it is difficult to get hold of them. Also, be careful when you select the frame size, as you will normally have to go up one from what you currently ride. I used to ride a 56, but I am normally on a 53-54. I think their graphics are terrific, top value, and they ride pretty well too. |

Thanks for the reply – I’m also looking at the new 2012 Agree GTC Race…looks awesome and a great spec! I had heard that their frame sizes are “undersized” and that I too would need a 56 (5’10″ 85kg….my current Defy 2 is a medium/53). I’m heading to a couple of shops over the weekend to see what they are like – I’ve ridden a Cube MTB in the past and that felt light & responsive….I’m convinced their road bikes will be just the same. Thanks, will let you know how it goes! |

Thanks Wes, how did you get it from CRC? I keep looking but they insist on NO SHIPPING TO AUSTRALIA. I’ve considered getting my parents to purchase and ship…. |

You’re right Mattie – unfortunately more recently they appear to have restricted sale of the higher end range of bikes to Aus now. When i bought the roady this restriction wasn’t in place. Getting it posted to your folks place sounds like a good workaround. I’m not sure what the actual policy of CRC is as some of their bikes they still ship but they appear to be the lower end ones. That said my bro just got an aluminium roadie couple of weeks ago – ultegra, aksium wheels, internal cabling, shallow drops, superb colour scheme – about $1750 delivered. |

just had a look thru CRC online shop and they don’t appear to ship any Cubes to Aus now, except for the following model – and that probably only because it’s last years stock: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=57236 |

Hargrovescycles ship overseas, and they have a number of cubes in stock. http://www.hargrovescycles.co.uk/products.asp?category=Bikes&product=Agree%20GTC%20SL%20-%202012%20Road%20Bike |

Thanks for the advice guys…..I popped in to a cube stockist today and they explained that they will be getting the new models in but not until March, and Australia won’t be seeing the full range….we’ll get even less of the range than the East Coast will get unless its a special order request. Guess I’ve gotta play the waiting game for now…..though the links above may help me out greatly! |
