Who wants to adopt a kiwi?

Hi all!!!

Some of you may have met me already (lucky people), but I have just moved over to Perth from NZ and am temporarily living it up in the ‘Rice Palace’ (with SPR rider Andrew).

However, given this is a temporary arrangement, I am currently seeking a room within an existing house/apartment or else someone to team up with find a house to rent in Perth – preferably closish to the bunch rides (I like to sleep).

A little about me: I am 24, female, geologist, roadie, trackie, chilled out…and enjoy long walks on the beach (could not resist the humour).

I am not particularly keen to live with a 5+ day/week binge drinker as I am quite committed to getting up for the 5:30am bunches! I figure trying to find a place with a cyclist will make it a bit easier in terms of not having to explain excess lycra, strange tanlines or random bike parts lying in strange parts of the house.

If you are keen and want an awesome room-mate , or know of anyone else that might be, then please get in touch with me via email at rebecca@gryphonminerals.com.au ( I don’t have a phone yet, but it is on the way so keep an eye out in the comments section)

Cheers,

Becs

P.S. NZ for the win for the Rugby World Cup!!

  1. Yep ticks all my boxes. Let me just ask my wife………um……..yeah…….she said no. Sorry…Mmmwwahhhhhhh! (Sorry couldn’t resist the humour plus you desirve it after your last line)

  2. Nice drawing but you colored outside the lines. I thought the one thing geologist knew (apart from how to drink) was how to color in.
Sorry, I can’t help with the room unless you want to share with a 4 month old… he’s sure to wake you up at 5:30am every morning!

  3. Kimbo, the picture depicts her as a beached whale.. I am sure Emma would not mind housing one..

Rebecca, I know a couple of Kiwis who may be looking for another.. I will check with them..

Welcome to Perth.. Lets see if you can get past the Frogs this weekend..

  4. Haha I see people have good humour in this club! Always good to see. @FlyingFynn – sounds good to me, just tell them to flick me an email if interested 🙂

I have no doubt that we will beat the frogs this weekend. I am not sure how they even got to the final to be honest??!

@Mark e…we also know how to open cans of beer using our rock hammers, and somehow rock the schneans look (sneakers + jeans).

Wonder if the Aussies can beat the Welsh? Might be asking a bit tooooo much there muhahaha

  5. First Kiwi has indicated no further roomie required unfortunately.. And she was the one I was more confident was possibly looking for someone.. Will see what the next Kiwi has to say.. But less faith in her unfortunately.. So rice palace for awhile longer it seems 😉

Frogs were very lucky to get there, Wales the far superior team.. Grrr.. Aus may struggle this weekend I am sad to say.. Will see if the Frogs can get fired up against the ‘Chockers’.. How many finals have the ABs been in and how many have they won??

  6. @FlyingFynn…that is OK! I have had a few emails from interested people who are drawn to my lovely kiwi charm. I shall know soon enough where I will be residing long-term – rice or no rice!

Indeed, the Frogs were lucky to get there, so no doubt you will be backing the ABs to win this weekend (unless you are actually a Frogs fan??!!). Let’s not dwell on the past RWCs (how boring) as come this Sunday night we will be holding the Webb Ellis Cup!! I hear if you squint hard enough you might be able to see it across the ditch from here
