just some last minute instructions for the day for both the racers and the volunteers.

firstly the volunteers.

on the day we have the following people –

Iain, Shirley, Michelle, Anke, Craig, Gareth at the finishline.  these guys will keep an eye on the race, update the lap board, and get finishline positions (there is also electronic timing).  there will also be drinks for sale.  there are two portable toilets available for use at the finishline.

Troy, Judd, Travis, Graham are in ths lead cars.  these guys stay in front of their race to let other vehicles know the race is coming.  it also helps the finishline people know which group is about to cross the line so they can update the lap board.  the lead car people will be briefed by the race director prior to the race.

bill darby, nathan, heiko/suzie are in the support cars.  they follow the race and carry the spares wheels.  assist the riders if needed.  a pre-race briefing will also take place so they know their roles.

the first race starts at 8:00am so we need the volunteers to be at the finishline on Trichet rd by 7:00am to help set up the tents etc.  after helping, the drivers can then move down to the start area on Benmunni rd by about 7:30-7:45am for a briefing.

for the racers

the start times have been moved forward an hour to 8:00am due to the city of wanneroo wanting us off the road earlier.  registration is a couple of k’s south of the finishline on Benmuni road.  there is a horse and pony club there at Nanovich park and there is ample parking.  rego closes at 7:45am and will be packed up and moved to the finishline.  you can drop off your numbers at the finishline after your race is over.

race times are as follows

A Grade – 8:00am – 14 laps – expected finish 11:20am

Women – 8:05am – 9 laps – expected finish 10:35am

B Grade – 8:10am – 8 laps – expected finish 10:20am

Masters – 8:15am – 10 laps – expected finish 11:00am

C Grade – 8:20am – 6 laps – expected finish 10:05am
