Thanks for your comments. You’re right, our riders should have let you know they were passing.

The transitional group and Main 4 are regroup rides (Main 3 if there is no Main 4) and don’t leave riders behind. If the faster Main groups drop a rider the group generally doesn’t stop as they’ll be picked up by the next group behind them. All the our groups rode Victoria Ave on the 14th, so I’m hoping it was one of the faster groups (I have often ridden with a faster group to gauge my speed capabilities, and been dropped/ picked up by the next group). Either way they should have told you they were passing.

I’m also hoping that the riders you saw in South Perth were heading back to their cars/heading home after the ride.

Hope the experience didn’t discolour your opinion of the group and feel free to come along to a SPR ride. I’m not on committee and don’t speak for the club but I’ve always found it to be inclusive/haven’t ever been left behind.
