    Hi all cycling fellas,
Am sure many of you have been here before! what power meter to pick? and what level of accuracy is really adequate for a non-pro rider:)
Didn’t take long to understand that my Campagnolo set up has limited my options. If we put the power2max aside (which has Campagnolo crank option in its product list at about $2500) my options more or less are the pedal power meters.

The list is: Original Garmin vector, Garmin vector 2 and newly released P1 power tap pedals

P1 power tap pedals seem to be quite easy to install and economical, with $1500 I get both left and right readings at 1.5% accuracy, it’s a bit chunky and uses AAA batteries (why not cell batteries!!??) with 60hrs run time which is a bit awkward but not a show stopper

Garmin vector 2 has apparently resolved the issues of the original Garmin vector and seem to be bullet proof now, 2 sided at $1800 and one sided at $1100

Original Garmin vector, functionally same as Vector 2, installation issues etc, 2 sided at $1400

To make decision first up I really want to know how important is to have both right and left readings? % wise how different normally the readings can get? is it like 48-49 to 52-51 or can be as bad as 40/60 or even worse that needs to be flagged up and improved? pretty much I wanna now if one sided is worth considering at all or not?

Also would appreciate if you could share your experiences with any of above?

    Cheers,
    Nirvan
