I’m still a firm believer in what I said, if you value reliable data then you’re best off getting a meter that measures whole power directly. Vector S, Stages and a few other left only solutions soon to hit the market only measure one component vector and make estimates about the rest. This is fine, so long as you maintain a consistent L/R power balance, otherwise it will become inherently unreliable in it’s precision and accuracy as the balance varies.

Power2Max, SRM, Vector (proper), Powertap, Quarq, Pioneer, Rotor and some other new contenders all tick that box of whole, direct measurement. The actual measurement of L/R balance is unimportant, however measuring their sum is important if you want data that’s based on measurement instead of multiplication assumptions.
