After a fair bit of Pushing we finally have three teams registered for this weekend.

One being the fast boys. Made up of people with mechanical legs.

Also have a spr old farts team made up of some mature (politically correct term) members.

Remainig is a team made up members from main 1 /2. Should be an interesting 80kms. I just hope we don’t get lapped by the fast boys.

Spr colours will be flown by

1: Andrew W.

2: Greg B.

3: Richard M.

4: Daryl C.

5: Amanda N.

6: Emma G.

7: Kim T.

8: Alison R.

9: Nathan R.

Swan Valley cyclo Sport-if (FINAL CALL)

Ok this is going to be the last call for this. It is this coming sunday. At the moment we have enough people for one team made up of four Main 1,  three Main 2 and one Main 3.

Registrations need to be done by tomorrow so if you are interested then see the information on this page and register so we can work out if we even have a team.

After having such a strong showing at this event last year will be disappointing to not have even one team entered this year.

Swan Valley Cyclo Sportif 2011

Mike Tan has now bugged me twice about this so I figured I should put up a post and get the ball rolling. Last year the club had a total of around 7 teams entered this event. The event is on the 26th of June and registrations are now open.

I am sure El Prez wants another strong showing at this event this year and I am sure we can out-do our numbers from last year. From what I remember we got together a list of all those that were interested and then El Prez sorted everyone into groups.

Summary of the information for the event.

Location: Midvale Speed Dome
Distances: A – 80 km, B – 64km, C – 32 km (approx distances)

We need team leaders to pay the money for each team up front and then the members will then need to pay back the team leaders. No refunds will be given if you pull out. It is best to have people of the same abilities grouped together.

In order to make this year easier to manage I have created a quick form to gather a few details of people who are interested. If you are please complete the form below. I promise I will not sell your details to a marketing company.

For now Just use this link to view the form until I can get Mike to allow the form to be embedded

Should have got out of bed

This is just a quick post to rub it into all those that didn’t get up and ride this morning. We had a great turnout for the Friday ride today. I think it’s a safe say it was the largest turnout for a Friday yet. Least of the ones I have attended.

Possibly today being the first dry day of the week had something to do with it. For those who  have not attended a Friday SPR ride it is well worth it. Easily the most relaxed ride of the week and a great route. Only pressure cooker section is through Shelly but we always wait for those that get dropped.

So those that hit the snooze button instead of getting out of bed today this is just to make you feel guilty for the rest of the day 🙂

SPR Easter Camp 2011

I have sat down and written a ride report for the Easter Camp held over this long weekend. For all those of you who didn’t come then this is a summary of what you missed out on. The camp went well and big thanks to Toby for organising it. Hope it is run again next year and we can get more of you to come down.

Got this in my email just now. I actually noticed it at The Merchant in the window a couple weeks ago but forgot to look it up. It is a Time Trial but it seems to be a short one so those who have not done one before may want to give it a go.
