    Hi,
I’m after some advice from anyone that has gone over to
follow the TDU on their bike. Do I need a compact (50/34) chainset or will a standard (53/39) with an 11-28 cassette do? I have also registered for the Bupa Challenge ride.
Any advice would be most helpful.
    Thanks

There are no mountains in Adelaide Lyndon, so a standard setup isn’t a problem. I have only ever done the Adelaide week on a standard 53/39.

Having said that I have just changed to a pro compact (52/36) for Albi so will probably leave that on for Adelaide.

    Cheers

    Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the advice. Was considering going for an in between option.

53/39 11-28 is what I have run the last 4 years. Not changing it.

    Hi Nathan,
That’s what I’ve got. Thanks for the advice.
